Coming up real soon is a day that isn’t like any other, born out of the geekdom as a declaration of love for a widely known app that is either hated or loved by the netizens, simply known as FourSquare.

So with that @LightYoruichi decided to take the reign and make it happen, calling others like @thechannelc, @davidlian,@icednyior, @bennimaru and @spinzer (that’s me!) to organize what we call the Foursquare day in Kuala Lumpur in the objective of having fun, and of course, to obtain that elusive Swarm Badge!!

Do join us, you won’t regret it cause we are really just about fun, fun and more fun. Of course the only requirement is that you need a smartphone to access FourSquare!

Location: Starbucks (Uptown 37, Damansara Utama)
Date: Friday, April 16, 2010
Time: 7.00PM – 11PM (GMT +8) Malaysian time

Bring your friends (especially those who just started on Foursquare) to help everyone earn the second SWARM BADGE (50+ people check-in at one place) or, if there’s enough attraction, then it’s gonna be Malaysia’s first SUPER SWARM BADGE (250+ people check-in at one place) in Kuala Lumpur!

Peri Chick = Free Nando's meal vouchers?!

I must have met the spiciest Santarina in this world. Her name is none other than Peri Chick (or at least that’s what she call herself, lol) and what does she do? Eat Nando’s for a living, me thinks

No I’m serious. The profile pic I found of her through this website says it all.

I’ve never seen a profile pic spicier than that!

Anyway, PERI CHICK ADDED ME ON FACEBOOK! (the true purpose of this post is to show off :p)

In any case the event sounds kind of fun, so in true sporting mode, imma gonna go for it!

Paypal Power Up – Scam?

So I received this e-mail one day, and RSVPed immediately. I thought to myself how interesting the event was going to be, and somehow I suspected anyone with a Paypal account in Malaysia will be getting this invitation.

I was right; after asking around on both Facebook and Twitter, there were many responses and all were eager to find out what Paypal would be surprising us with in Malaysia.

3 words: what on earth?!?

FIRSTLY: there SHOULD be a “TO” between ‘able’ and ‘accommodate’, it’s MISSING in that sentence and it reeks of POOR english! (yes I’m anal like that)

SECONDLY: why the hell are they thinking we would gatecrash the event? Well excuse us, but in case you didn’t already know, a few of us cancelled on other events on that day so we could always go where we are wanted. Honestly, it wouldn’t do us any harm just by telling us that there’s no more space, so WHY insinuate that we WOULD come anyway?

It is honestly really disappointing to many of us, no offense to those who DID get their invitation accepted.

The. Worse. Event. PR. Ever!
Not only did it create bad publicity, it actually spun off in all those confusion to create the perception that this program is a hoax, done to collect data from everyone who RSVPed for God knows what purposes they have in mind.

Seriously, these guys got a lot to learn if they want respect from us. I’m not dissing Paypal itself, mind you, but come on… Basic courtesy calls for a polite rejection, can you not even do that?

I promised Shaz-related pictures here on my blog since he did the same for me, but it’s taking a while to compile so I guess he has to wait. Anyway he’s probably too busy to even notice this small little fact, him with his filled-out schedule, right, girls?

So then we move on to one damn late entry, the launching of Ruumz.com at Mist! My colleague needs no introduction.

Here’s Kat, taken at the front of Bangsar Avenue… located in a very queer location between press factories!

The obligatory shot, blurred but cool nonetheless. Kat was really excited to see what was in store for her. Luckily she dressed up pretty well though she sort of underestimated the crowd that was attending the event lol.

As soon as I got in I bumped into Huai Bin, who gave me the cutest shot ever in this entire post… and possibly blog too! I <3 him.

And then the rest slowly appeared. Familiar faces. Simon, Nick Chay Chay my loverboy.

The place was not unfamiliar to me; it was my second time being in here, the first was a photoshoot with Mikel, which I will post next (since it’s conveniently sitting dormantly in my Facebook). I loved the ambience though.

Rachel rachel whom I owe so much because I keep asking her to nang me lol.

Finally met Mellissa @ V.eraico.us (spot the anomally!) and wonders upon wonders the world is small; Kat and Mel actually know each other through Kat’s sister!

And lookie who’s here! This time I’m not responsible for bringing Zoe here, what more a club!! Still angry at the irresponsibility of her and her driver in losing her stuff, but ah well ppl learn from mistakes, won’t we now hmm?
