I couldn’t make it to Penang’s, I’m definitely making sure that I attend the exclusive event at Opera! Why? There’s been a lot of new stuff happening and for me, there’s a new element to Hennessy Artistry this year that will create a social media evolution within the party itself – so how can I not be part of it?!

So what is it? Well all I can say is that there’s a new high-tech wristband in which every guest will only receive if they register on Hennessy Malaysia’s Facebook page. I just did, and so should you. It’s basically called a RFID wristband (similar to the ones Sunway lagoon uses; looks like a wrist watch with a round shiny metal thing on top) and what happens when you register is that your Facebook profile will be automatically uploaded onto your respective wristbands.

Its a pretty cool concept plus you will be one of the very first to experience it.

To quote an example, when you go to the photowall and take a picture, all you need to do is scan your wristband on a “reader/scanner” at the photowall, and you will automatically tag yourself on the picture in your own Facebook profile or when you go to the Mixing Bar to get a drink, you scan your wristband and your Facebook status will automatically be updated. How cool is that?

Now there’s just no need to whip out your phone any more and concentrate on getting those dance moves on the floor (and attracting the hotties about you, too, of course *winks)

Oh and did I tell you… Kyoto Protocol will have the chance to play at the event as well! They’ll get to collaborate with Australian powerhouse duo – Vandalism – and Malaysian spin masters – Spinderella on the night itself. It’s going to be a heck of a party! More details below

Leading the line-up at the upcoming Hennessy Artistry party is Australian electro/house duo, Vandalism which comprises of DJ/Producer Andy Van (previously of Madison Avenue fame) and vocalist/songwriter Cassie Van. With distinctive sounds and head turning live performances, Vandalism has over the past two years toured across the globe playing in gigs in London, Miami, Ibiza, Moscow, Greece, South Korea, and Canada. Making their debut on the Hennessy Artistry stage, Australia’s leading electro/dance outfit is ready to infect the dance floors of Voodoo and The Opera come April with Andy tearing up the decks while Cassie belts out some show stopping sexy vocals.

It is in fact one of the coolest bands I’ve ever known and who’s Pussycat song (check it at their MySpace account) recently hit the 1st just early this year in FlyFm’s Champur Charts!

And that’s among one of the many accomplishments they’ve done. As of today, they are one of the few bands selected to be in the finals of the Hard Rock Cafe Battle of the Bands which is happening on the 6th of March. I’m definitely going to support them, are you?

Introducing @fuadkyoto, the lead singer of the band. He’s ma homie yo. Okay, I’m just blatantly taking advantage of our famous friend here hehe.

Seriously, though, his beard(tm) is the coolest thing on earth, kan, Farah? Well apart from the fact that he’s an economist when he’s not singing la. Seriously, how cool is that?

And wherever he goes, the party goes with him and his band of brothers. Kyoto Protocol defies convention with the genre bending rock- complex, gritty, and warped, they’re a band to watch for this 2011. That’s a direct copy and paste which I’m shamelessly adding here

As for this beauty…  none of you need to know. Yes, I’m THAT selfish Gorgeous Margarita is mine! (whoops did I just spelled out her name? :P)

I guess one of the most important reason for their success is their ever loyal supporters/fans/friends/bitches like the ones above. See how wacky they are? Well, that’s just the beginning! ps- @kp_gael, one of Kyoto Protocol’s main member is in this picture. Guess which is him

And here’s Shakeil. No, not the guy in the middle. That one’s untouchable. See, no hands can land on him and all he does is to stare cock. WOOOOORDDDD!

But if I were to highlight one of the greatest things they’ve done, is that they still contributed to the climate change cause as with their name sake, and this was done together with Al-Jazeera; now how cool is THAT?! Take a look at the video below:
