Yes, he’s the guy who founded Apple. The very same brand of computer who had to compete with giants Microsoft once upon a time, before the evolution that we know as the iPod came about.

And when it did, it is no exaggeration to say that the way we live our lives have changed ever since.

iPod turned to iPhone, and then the iPad. Software development became cool and hip, where millions of apps are now created thanks to his vision in crowdsourcing through the entire planet, giving software engineers their light of day. Convenience, user-friendliness and great customer service was redefined. The way we think, do things and work changed significantly. Heck, all other competitors were suddenly put into a game of race,

not only on the technological side, but also on a social ergosphere.

In fact, here’s what Steve Ballmer from Microsoft had to say:

“I want to express my deepest condolences at the passing of Steve Jobs, one of the founders of our industry and a true visionary. My heart goes out to his family, everyone at Apple and everyone who has been touched by his work,”

And then came Bill Gates, the very man who founded Microsoft, and he had this to say:

“I’m truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs’ death. Melinda and I extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to everyone Steve has touched through his work,”

“Steve and I first met nearly 30 years ago, and have been colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half our lives. The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come. For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it’s been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely,”

I’m pretty sure Steve Jobs is the only one that gave Bill Gates a run for his money, for otherwise we may not have seen the improvement that we’re seeing today. And this is true for a probably thousands of other companies, especially in the communications industry. Oh yes, the iPhone is certainly a device ahead

of its time, despite what critics say about it (ie lack of basic functionality already provided by existing mobile technology) – heck, the reason it was so special is because it’s NOT like any other devices, isn’t it? A true representation of creativity and innovation conceptualized by vision alone!

He’s truly and iCon to many of us… to me. I wish it that his idealogy, principles and beliefs will be carried out even after his passing, if anything, through me. Find his 12 most inspiring quotes here, and

What can I say, Steve Jobs. Although I didn’t know you, I so wish I had the chance to actually meet you in real life, before you passed away. I wished I had the ability to take some of your visions and make them into reality. I’ve read so much about you, how you ran your company worth billions like an entrepreneur would – casting away unnecessary formalities, urging your teams to take ownership and be proud of their achievements, coming out with amazing presentations that millions of people would pay attention to… it’s all something to be proud of, something to show to the world.

But the cancer did its job, and you’ve now come to pass. Rest in peace, Steve… you’ve done your bit for the world. Now let us continue that for you. Goodbye, Steve Jobs, possibly the greatest entrepreneur the world has known. :'(
