in CAPTIONS! (blame the lazy bug :P)

It was just us and two cars, as we made our way down to Muar. For breakfast, we had kuey chap (and I don’t eat kuey chap :P)

They had these flat noodles that looks like kuey tiao, but isn’t! This is where Datuk Chua came down to say hi, such a sweet sweet man

After breakfast we proceeded to Octhavia’s otak otak processing center, that was unfortunately closed during Sundays!

Nevertheless we were given freshly grilled otak otaks!

And boy were they really yummy!

Octhavia makes it really special, by producing a variety of styles to package the otak otak into. Some were awesome and some were pretty darn weird.

The crowd that came from Singapore! lol… and they were all amazed by the number of products the booth has.

Of course the usual product would be the steamed otak otak that came in prawns or fish meat. Here you can see it perfectly steamed and hot to eat.

Then there’s the deep fried ones in kataifi pastry (forgive the ugliness, couldn’t stop people from stealing them while i took the photos.

There’s also the curry puff style which I really like~!

Deep fried of course.

And this is the result: golden crunchy pastry…

with spicy and steamy hot otak otak inside, so yummy!

But the number one should go to this one: deep fried steamed otak otak pau. Apparently this product is so good that it’s hard to get hold of it in supermarkets that sell Octhavia stocks!

This is where we shopped till we dropped hehe.

Shitzoe is omnipresent!!

Situated at Muar, this place is your shopping heaven, or at least for the few of us namely Big Boys Oven of www.bigboysoven.com, Ken of www.foodpoi.com, CK of www.what2seeonline.com and a few others!

Who can tell me what this is?
