But hey, suddenly A Cut Above (you know that popular professional salon founded by Datin Winnie Loo? 😀) came up with something pretty nifty: the #BloggeRestyle movement, where they aim to empower Malaysia’s blogger community by giving the bloggers themselves a good restyling session. I immediately said, I NEED THAT! What can you expect from a person who’s pretty much had the same hairstyle all his life? 😛

And so I made my appointment and searched for the all new Restyle+ outlet at the all new Nu Sentral located at KL Sentral. For your information, Restyle+ is a little different from A Cut Above, where they target young folks who are looking for a totally refreshing hairstyle, and also different from Restyle (without the PLUS!) in a sense that they only provide organic solutions, thanks to their partnership with AVEDA!

Of course being the social entrepreneur I am, when I find out that not only are their treatments, hair colours etc are almost fully organic but that they also save the environment in more ways than one, I told myself this is the place to go. Heck, it’s definitely going to be better for my own scalp and hair too right?! Saving the world and the people, that’s the way to go 😛

Oh did I mention that their hair colour products are also not so damaging to your hair? Viva la Aveda for their vision to connect beauty, environment and well-being & of course Restyle+ for their professionalism & amazingly talented hairstylists 😀

Basically how it works is that all Restyle+ customers will engage in a signature Aveda Ritual of Renewal, which may include: The Tea Ritual, a cup of comforting tea upon arrival; The Stress-Relieving Hand Ritual, a complimentary hand massage incorporating the senses soothing AvedaStress-Fix Body Lotion; the Stress-Relieving Neck and Shoulders Ritual, a 3-5 minute tension-taming massage of the neck and shoulders using Aveda Stress-Fix Body Lotion; and The Aroma Sensory Journey, a guided tour of scent, sensuality and memory, to help us discover the Aveda aroma that truly worked their wonders with me. Finally after a senior stylist hair cut, 3 hours of light bleaching for a full colour and Ash highlights and a full Invati treatment, this is the new empowered me. I actually look a lot thinner with this new… ME! For my hair length, the cut was about RM55, and the colouring ranged at RM180. The full Invati signature treatment which reduced itchiness in my scalp and for a healthier hair costed RM230, which is amazing considering all the stuff they did on me.
