Express yourself in the urban revolution @Urbanscapes 2011

Urbanscapes is organised by KLue and is the first and only all-day “user-generated” creative arts festival. It aims to bring together communities and participants from the fields of music, arts, lifestyle, film under a single banner to showcase the best of the local scene. This is exactly why you should participate either by visiting or performing at the event itself! (Yes, if you can find a space at the park, you can book that spot, take out your guitar and start crooning on spot!)

But it’s not free! Hey, good things always come with a price and you shouldn’t expect anything less. At RM40 each, I think it’s a steal, especially with 1000 early birds tickets released for RM30. Also since TM Everyone Connects is the main sponsor for this year, all TM’s subscribers get a special price of RM25 when they purchase at the door with a proof of subscription.

Of course, that’s if you’re a normal everyday person. If you’re a reader of my blog, you have certain privileges, such as winning a pair of tickets to Urbanscapes 2011! And since I’m generous enough to give out 3 pairs… here’s all you have to do: the 10th, 20th and 30th person to share this blogpost on their twitter account will win them! My only  condition? Follow both @spinzer (that’s me) and @urbanscapes on Twitter 😉

Don’t waste the ticket if you can’t come though, so here are some facts you should know first:

Venue : Padang Astaka, PJ
Date : 16th July 2011, Saturday
Time : 12pm – 12am

What’s more it’s even easier than ever to get to Urbanscapes this year, as Padang Astaka is just off the Federal Highway and right next to the Asia Jaya Putra LRT Station!

By Car:

While there’s no parking available at Padang Astaka itself, there’s ample parking in the surrounding areas and it’s just a short walk from there on. Please refer to the map above for parking locations.

Directions
Head towards Jalan Utara in Petaling Jaya. You can easily find your way to Jalan Utara if you know any of the following landmarks: Armada Hotel, PJ Hilton, Tun Hussein Onn Eye Hospital, Crystal Crown Hotel, Asia Jaya Putra LRT Station, Amcorp Mall.

You can park at the Crystal Crown Hotel, Armada Hotel or Amcorp Mall. Urbanscapes is just a short walk away. Please refer to the map above for details.

By Train:

Urbanscapes is easily accessible by LRT. Just get off the the Asia Jaya Putra LRT Station. As you leave the station, head across the street towards Armada Hotel. Then head towards Lorong Jalan Utara

By Bus:

Padang Astaka is located right next to the Federal Highway. It’s also right next to the popular PJ Hilton / Asia Jaya / Aramada Hotel stop for the buses that ply the Federal Highway route.

If you’re taking a bus from Petaling Jaya, most buses that stop along Jalan Utara will do or better yet, get on a bus that’s headed to the Putra LRT Asia Jaya Station.

Anyhow, if you didn’t turn out to be one of the lucky winners, there are always other contests run by @urbanscapes, their  official twitter account or at their Facebook Page. Good luck and see you there!
