Lunching with Hannah Tan @ Yuzu, Gardens

In a twist of fate, an introduction by Rebecca and myHarapan’s invitation to “Terima Kasih Cinta” allowed me to bump into Hannah Tan, a kind, gorgeous and talented celebrity both in Malaysia and in Japan. You may have heard of her during the H-Factor tour where she and other personalities inspired thousands to “Make A Difference”, a motto she lives by to. And the next thing I knew, we met up for lunch here at my favourite Japanese restaurant- and found ourselves alike in many ways 🙂

I brought Ren in with me as he’s part of my SocialGrooves.com team to also be part of this exciting project, especially since we’ll be working with Hannah. It is such an honour for us to be able to be part of her exciting journey in making a name for herself and be an inspiration to all. Heck, this woman NEVER sleeps!

If there’s anything I found out about her, is that her smile is so freaking contagious! One always wonders how she can look so fresh and happy been with only a minimum number of hours sleep she had. But above it all, this is a prove that she enjoys her work so much that it has become part and parcel of her life. You can read more about her at her blog www.hannahtan.com.

Anyway, the food as usual was great. I avoided rice as I’d put on so much weight since my trip to Melbourne, Australia, and had a shock of my life as Hannah gobbled up (daintily, if I might add :p) the fried rice. How on earth does she maintain her figure?! Turned out that she used to be a state runner (really? How is she so multitalented?!) and because of that, she really does take care of her fitness through workouts and of course, eating healthily.

All in all it was a great meeting where I even got to share about the EYE project, and being the darling she is, she just told me to tell her what she can do to help. As I’ve said, we’re so like minded that we just let our trust guide us, and thank God for that, too. A perfect partner to work with indeed!

Thanks Hannah, really looking forward to see what we can do together and unlock kindness and passion in the people all around us, starting with Malaysians! Do follow her on Twitter for more updates at @Hannah_Tan
